Oakville artist Luigia Zilli has extensive training in sculpting and painting, including techniques like fresco and trompe-l’œil, and is influenced by different ‘Masters’ from the past. She mostly enjoys working with acrylics on a textured ground exploring the versatility and flexibility of this medium. Routinely she uses a limited but very warm palette of colours, ranging from the earthy ones to the bright reds and sunny yellows like those seen in her signature fields of flowers. Her favorite subjects are flowers, landscapes, geese and bicycles.
Her painting career spans more than two decades of exhibiting in solo and group shows in Italy and Canada. Her work is held in private and corporate collections internationally and in Canada.
