George Nachkov is a Bulgarian-born artist. The Eastern European nation is known for its rich artistic heritage. George graduated from an arts highschool, and, ever since then, art has become a profession, a hobby, and a way of relaxation.
He works most often in a very traditional style, in oils, acrylics, watercolours, or pen-and-ink. The prevalent focus of his work is landscape, and he has a special talent for capturing the light so as to reflect the beauty, charm and mood of a place. He also does portraits and abstracts.
He lived in Greece for a time, where he was hired as an icon painter for the interior of two Orthodox churches. His work can also be found in private and corporate collections in Bulgaria, Italy, Greece, and Canada.
