“As an artist, my goal is to transport the viewer and create a visceral emotion or memory of days spent in nature. On a cold winter’s day, I love surrounding myself with paintings that depict gardens, flowers, and colour. My floral work and landscapes are about renewal and the cycle of seasons. My abstracts represent release and giving oneself to the moment and being open to what comes.
“As a self-taught painter, I enjoy the process of self-discovery and equate painting to meditation, allowing my mind to wander in the moment and find calm. Creating art is a very personal experience, yet once it is complete it is shared publicly and becomes a conduit of many things to each person. I believe art should spread beauty while provoking conversation.”
