SPECIAL OFFER ! ! ! : Free, full-colour art book by Alain Bédard

TAG Art Gallery is pleased to feature this selection of seven paintings by Alain Bédard, a Quebec City artist, who describes himself as “forever animated by the need to express my emotions and discoveries in colour. As a result, figurative art has become my way of life and my means of communication.”

Bédard’s artistic vision and depth of feeling are matched by his subtle painting skills in a way which immerses the viewer into the day-to-day life of the scenes which he is capturing. His work has a welcoming energy; and the buildings in his cityscapes seem to ‘come alive’ on the canvas.

We are offering a free copy of the artist’s 107-page, full-colour art book, ‘Colours of Life’, with the purchase of any of these beautiful Bédard paintings. This is a limited offer.

Alain credits his artistic development in recent years to his good fortune in being mentored for a time by the accomplished Canadian artist, Claude A. Simard. Earlier in life he had first encountered Simard who was one of his professors when he took graphic communications at Laval University in the early 1980’s. Prior to that, Alain started in graphic design at Collège de Sainte-Foy in Quebec, and then developed his illustration techniques at school in New York City.

After graduating from Laval, he worked in graphic design in Quebec, and had his own graphic design company for a number of years. For the past 25 years, he has devoted himself to painting and the promotion of art. He also started Les Cartes Pôle Nord (North Pole Cards) which specializes in creation and distribution of greeting cards by Canadian artists.
