Fred Riley is a self-taught mixed-media artist who has been creating art for the past 15 years. With his degree in Graphic Design, Fred has found his way to the expression of his artistic flair via paint brush on canvas. As well, by not keeping to one specific theme, he learned that he could conquer all styles. But, after a few projects with different materials, he knew his passion was for acrylic painting; with some pieces created using mixed media.
Fred finds inspiration in everything. A wine bottle, animal life, or landscape; he can find the art and beauty in all of it. His keen eye for detail often has viewers wondering if the art is truly a painting, or a photograph. There is a warmth in his paintings that makes one fall in love with each and every piece.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Fred always knew he had the eye and talent for art. He decided to combine that with his goal for a higher education, and earned his Graphic Design degree while studying at Mohawk College in Brantford.
