Ruth Dukas is a ‘realist’ artist. Oil, acrylic, watercolour, pen-and-ink, charcoal and collage are mediums with which she is familiar. Ruth is a mature artist, a graduate of the Art Course at Central Technical School in Toronto.
In her working years, she was a designer and manufacturer in the fashion industry in Toronto. On retirement to the Village of Bath ON (near Kingston), Ruth returned to her love of painting and was a founding member of a group of local artists. Her work is notable for its clarity and colour; its strong sense of design.
Ruth and her husband moved to Kingston in 2006, and her paintings are exhibited in a number of galleries, including in Bath and Kingston, and in the Denison Armoury in Toronto.
