"It has been stated that each garden reflects our longing for spiritual peace – a tie with our primordial beginnings. It is in the beauty of nature where I find this spiritual connectiveness.”
Claudette Losier's floral paintings have been described as “breathtaking splendor of pure colours in the abstract form of flowers, created with richly patterned light with an abandonment to patterns in nature.” However, she is not strictly a floral artist and likes to create art using various subject matter such as athletic figurative, semi-abstraction, landscapes, still life, cityscapes, transfer art, t-shirts silkscreens and creature creations.
"I graduated as a BFA in Arts from Brock University in 1989. My creative focus now is on paintings in acrylics using the glazing method of painting, and realism with various themes. I also have another body of work that I do using various transfer-art techniques.
"As well as creating Art, I have been involved as a volunteer in the Arts Communities in St. Catharines and Hamilton. Since 2006, I have turned my attention to teaching Art. Recently, I have exhibited work in galleries in Hamilton, Toronto and Niagara Region."
Claudette was born in Oshawa and lives in Hamilton.
