TAG Art Gallery continues to make available selected works by Marshal Foster at a 50% discount. These includes a landscape in his hauntingly-ethereal style, and whimsical still-lifes of apples and pears. For the still-lifes, Foster combines an 'impressionistic' style with the imaginative use of touches of gold leaf. The result is captivating visually, and stirs the imagination. At half-price, these pieces offer excellent value in meeting your décor needs for home or office, or as a lay-away item for a Christmas gift. Click here to make your purchases from our on-line store of this wonderful art by Marshal Foster. (Handling, packaging and shipping are extra.) Please contact the Gallery for more information.
TAG Art Gallery is pleased to introduce the Quebec City artist, Alain Bédard, with this exclusive offer of a free copy of 'Colours of Life' with the purchase of one of his vividly-expressive paintings. This is a limited offer. Click here to make your selection from the Bédard paintings which are still available. For more information, please contact the Gallery.
Alain Bédard describes why viewers are drawn immediately into the scenes that he depicts: "I am forever animated by the need to express my emotions and discoveries in colour. As a result, figurative art has become my way of life and my means of communication."
Tom and Frank Goldspink of TAG Art Gallery would like to salute Walker Industries and the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre for presenting the Walker Industries Art Competition in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Pumphouse Gallery in Niagara-on-the-Lake ON. This was a juried event, with $3,000 in total cash prizes. The Jury of six established Ontario artists/art educators selected 25 finalists (from more than 200 entries) to participate in a month-long exhibition at the Pumphouse in Niagara-on-the-Lake in July, 2019. From the finalists, the jury picked two winners -- St. Catharines artist, Beverley Barber (First Prize); and Lorena Ziraldo of Ottawa (Second Prize). The third prize, a 'People's Choice' award, was won Julie Ponesse of Niagara-on-the-Lake and London, based on the votes of Pumphouse visitors during July. The three prizes were presented on Sunday, Aug. 4th, during the 25th Anniversary Celebration Party, which was the wrap-up to the 14th annual Art at the Pumphouse Show and Sale (Aug. 3rd and 4th, 2019). Congratulations from TAG Art Gallery to Walker Industries and the Pumphouse for this wonderful initiative. The competition was open to emerging and established artists anywhere in Canada.
